Welcome to Adulthood.
I'm done. It's bittersweet. I'm kidding. I don't plan on continuing my education any further so I'm really excited to get working on getting really good at what I love to do. Many people have asked me what I'm going to do now and I'll actually be spending the next year building my portfolio and "my brand". That and a lot of traveling.
Cue the cheesiness.
It's a bit unreal that I've only spent 2 years at Long Beach. It feels like I have been there a lot longer, but at the same time, my time there felt short as well. I consistently struggled through my first few years of college not because of laziness, but the thought of figuring out what I wanted to pursue in was always lingering in my mind. It's an amazing feeling knowing what I want to do. To me, it's the feeling of when you've just gotten home from a long trip or just a long day. I'm happy to have met the people I have met from San Diego, everyone I met through Peet's Coffee & Tea, to the peeps in Long Beach. I'm happy to have met the few individuals from professors to classmates that really made my experience at Long Beach so special. Though I would have liked to stayed at Peet's even longer, I felt in my place when I got into the fashion industry. I love the people I get to work with now and the projects that I get to be involved in.
I was rejected when I applied as a graphic design major. But if I weren't a fashion merchandising major, I don't think I would have applied my passion for the three things I love into school. So here's a collection of my favorite things from my two years at Long Beach:
