They grow up so fast.
I had a mini shoot with some cousins that I grew up with. They're all so grown up now! Amazing how time goes by so fast. I've put photography aside for awhile with a busy school and work schedule. Especially since the holidays are coming closer, I'll be more busy at work and preparing for the New York trip I'll be going on and studying abroad. It's a bummer having photo shoots that don't follow through, but it's not a main priority right now. I want to finish school in a timely manner, but that would require taking summer classes and I'm in no rush to graduate anyways since I don't know what I'm quite doing afterwards. Two summers ago I was able to take a graphic design class and a photography class during the summer so I'm doing the same this upcoming summer also. It's crazy how everything is ever so changing. Going from UCSD to SAC to CSULB to studying abroad, and my time at the various places I've worked at in between. I've only been at Peet's for a year, but my time here has made me so grateful and has taught me more of who I am from the people that I meet every time I work. You see lots of regulars where I work who all have interesting stories and backgrounds. I've met all sorts of people, an attorney for children, someone who does something with the production of prints, a person that works in a mental hospital, a police officer, a business man who works for wineries, and goes on and on. Today I found out two of my regulars are a graphic designer/creative director and an artist/creator and they've especially taught me more about myself. I'm grateful for my time here and I can't wait where life takes me next because I don't think I'm set out to work hard in school and obtain that big job that I've been aiming for. I'm not set out to be doctor or a teacher. I want to live in many places and do so many things.
I'm sure you'll do great things, Kiki! :D You've grown up a lot as well. Where are you headed to study abroad?
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Karen. :) It's hard to see how much I have grown in my own eyes compared to the eyes of other people. I was getting frustrated that I'm incapable of taking even more stunning pictures when I do photo shoots because I have high expectations so I'm trying to fit in learning something new about photography every week, a "photo shoot" once a week, and reanalyzing how I take pictures. I'm studying abroad in the UK! It's 20 minutes away from London, but I'm planning on going all over Europe. :) How have you been? You're always up to something! (By the looks of all the pictures you post)
